Cymbol’s New Single ‘Roll It Up’ Out Now

New Zealand producer Cymbol showcases his signature upbeat style and melodic approach in hazy new single ‘Roll It Up’ featuring Bandi and Cameron Louw.

Capturing scenes synonymous with a big night out, it’s not surprising the track’s beginnings were etched in late night studio sessions and early morning musings.

“I was finishing off a track in the studio when I received a call at 2AM from a friend. It soon turned into “why don’t we just have a jam?” I lay down a few chords, Bandi went into the booth to try out some things and it all started to come together.”

Building singer Cameron Louw into the mix added another dimension to the dreamy dance floor track.

“When he sent me back his verse, I found the delivery was so raw and real that I ended up using his home recording.”

It’s this ability to pick up on the off-beat and on-point that has already seen Cymbol sway the spotlight – picking up slots at renowned festivals such as Rhythm & Vines and Homegrown, gaining airtime with his cleverly crafted tracks and even signing an international record deal for his collaborative EP The Cycle with This Pale Fire.

The second single off his debut solo record, Cymbol continues to highlight his extraordinary production values, while experimenting with more vocal-driven songs.

‘Roll It Up’ is available for purchase and streaming across all digital platforms now.
